iPhone users can now remove data plan if they don't need it.

By BXTra | 10:03 PM PST, Fri November 16, 2007
AT&T silently offers an option allowing iPhone users to remove EDGE data plan option that would save them $20/month. Just go to your AT&T myAccount page and click "Add/Manage Features". This will additionally remove text messaging, you should add a text messaging plan if you don't want to pay by the message. You will no longer have access to Visual Voicemail if data is removed. You'll have to call for voicemail just like any other phone. talkiphone.com

Disappearing Gmail messages baffle users

By BXTra | 10:42 PM PST, Wed November 14, 2007

When Jeneane Sessum logged into her Gmail account on the afternoon of Oct. 27, she was greeted with a horrifying sight: an empty inbox.

A Gmail user since 2004, Sessum, a social media consultant and writer in Atlanta, had thousands of messages there, enough to use up almost 30 percent of her allotted storage space.

Because Gmail is her primary work and personal e-mail service, Sessum lost many important messages, including some she needed at that moment for a project.

Google at Gas Station

By BXTra | 7:47 PM PST, Wed November 07, 2007

Lost drivers in U.S. soon will be able to find Google Map in Gas station across the country beginning early next month.

The pumps, made by Gilbarco Veeder-Root, include an Internet connection and will display Google's mapping service in color on a small screen.

Motorists will be able to scroll through several categories to find local landmarks, hotels, restaurants and hospitals selected by the gas station's owner. After the driver selects a destination, the pump will print out directions.

Looking for Web Hosting?

Web Hosting

I just finished moving one of my website to another web hosting company. That took me about 3-4 weeks just to look for which web hosting company I should go with. REASON : One of my website started to have a lot of data. 1and1 allows user to have no more than 100 MB of each database and it's not enough for me. I have to look for somewhere else to move my website there. Empty Cache and Search Index were what I did to keep the database below 100 MB while I was looking for a new hosting service. WEBHOSTING : I've checked with many companies listed below:

  • ANHosting
  • BlueHost
  • HostNine
  • ResellerZoom
  • InnoHosting
  • HostGator

eBay buyer - BEWARE

By BXTra | 1:41 AM PDT, Fri July 27, 2007
Miscellaneous

I just read the news about another fraud on eBay from this website -> Bangkok Post - 8 arrested for eBay fraud in Hong Kong

Basically, it's about the buyer that paid for the products that were never delivered. So, Hongkong polices tracked them down and arrested 8 of them.

I know there are a lot of fraud going on with online transactions. So, before decide to purchase, at least, check their resellers rating or anything that you suspect to avoid this problem.
