A month ago, I'm thinking about to open another online store to sell something online. My major requirement is pretty easy. Those are:
- Multilanguage support
- Use UTF-8
- Able to do Anonymous Checkout. (Guest Checkout / Check Out Without Account)
If it's possible, a few other features I needed are :
- Single page checkout
- Import/Export Product
First of all, I'm not an Linux/DirectAdmin expert. I just played around with them and found the way to do it. I tried to install Cacti on my server but I couldn't find a complete instruction to do it. So, I just gathered all information I found into one place so that it is easier for many others. I hope it can help someone that needs the same thing that I did.
The software I use:
- CentOS 5.2 - 64-bit
- DirectAdmin 1.323 - Custombuild 1.1.13
- PHP 5 - CGI
- Apache 2.2
- MySQL 5
- Cacti 0.8.7b
Package Required by Cacti :
* RRDTool 1.0.49 or 1.2.x or greater
* MySQL 3.23 or greater, 4.0.20d or greater highly recommended for advanced features
* PHP 4.1 or greater, 4.3.6 or greater highly recommended for advanced features
Apache, PHP and MySQL are already installed by DirectAdmin. However, there are 2 required packages which are net-smtp and RRDTool that I need to install.
Two months after the release of the milestone v24 we are happy to give a refined release to the public, v24 SP1. Besides the official support of new hardware platforms and the addition of some new features we did enhance the usability and stability of many functions inside DD-WRT. We did also incorporate the patches for the recently published dns exploit issue. We'd like to make clear that the DD-WRT default configuration in v23 / v24 is not vulnerable, so there was and is no risk for dd-wrt users. There was also a security issue in the site survey that is not published yet and is fixed in the v24 SP1.

Mozilla will release the next version of its Firefox browser on Tuesday and attempt to set a Guinness World Record for software downloads.
The company has deemed June 17 "Download Day," part of a campaign unveiled on May 28 asking users to download Firefox 3 on the first day it is released to set what very well may be the geekiest world record ever-- the largest number of software downloads in 24 hours.
To help its cause, Mozilla is hosting a Download Day event, the Camp Firefox BBQ, at its offices in Mountain View, California, on Tuesday. The company also has asked Firefox fans to host parties to encourage friends to download with them, and place "Download Day" buttons on their Web sites as reminders of the big day.
Currently, there is no world record for software downloads; Mozilla is trying to create one.
Release Candidate 3 of Firefox 3 is currently available online for free download. A list of the browser's new features also is available online.
In case you don't know what is DD-WRT. It's a firmware to use with many routers to get more features that original firmware doesn't provided. If I remember correctly, it was originally for Linksys WRT54G router. Later, the firmware can be used with many other brands and devices.
We are very proud to release the final DD-WRT v24 to the public. After months of development and bug fixing we are sure this release is as stable and reliable people expect a DD-WRT major release to be. The v24 binaries are now available in the download section (click here).
DD-WRT v24 offers many new features, on of the most important is support of Atheros wlan chipsets and SOC designs. By supporting special features of the Atheros wireless designs like half- and quarter channels and extended channel support DD-WRT is now perfectly suited for long range wireless links. With this DD-WRT is now also supporting the whole Ubiquity line of wireless products using all available features the hardware offers.
Highlights of DD-WRT v24:
- Virtual SSIDs, Virtual DHCP-Servers, PPTP over WAN enhencements, Bridging + VLAN support, VDSL Support, OLSR-Routing / Freifunk, My Ad Network (powered by AnchorFree), Quaqqa instead of Bird (in X86 + Xscale default), PPPOE-Server, EOIP-Tunnel, Network configuration enhencements, UP-Downstream (QOS), New Packet Scheduler HFSC, Save & Apply, extended DDNS options, extended status information, New Languages, Sipwerk integrated Milkfish into the new release, turning every DD-WRT router into a SIP-aware firewall.
New hardware platforms:
- X86, Avila Gateworks, Cambria Gateworks, Atheros Soc (for a list, please look into the Download Section), Compex,Senao, Fonera, Ubiquiti
Thanks for all the help and response we got.
Today Microsoft announced the release of Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to Windows Update and Microsoft Download Center. We also resumed automatic distribution of Windows Vista SP1. We will begin automatically distributing Windows XP SP3 in early summer.
As mentioned last week, we uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and both Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). To help protect customers, we put filtering in place to prevent Windows Update from offering both service packs to systems running Microsoft Dynamics RMS. We are still testing a fix and are working to make it publicly available via Microsoft Download Center this month.
Until then, we advise Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers to not install either service pack. Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers running Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1 should contact Microsoft Customer Support Services for additional information.
As mentioned in my RTM post, Microsoft will monitor this forum for the next few weeks in case you have additional feedback about the release of Windows XP SP3.
The Windows XP Support Forum has pointers to standard information about Windows XP Service Pack 3. Also, the Windows XP SP3 TechNet portal is now updated as well.
Many thanks,
Chris Keroack
